Brett and Laura have been singing together since the first day they met.

Soon after that, they fell in love and started making music on a regular basis—now known under the simple moniker VANDERZEE. Through steady writing and performing they have honed their own unique style, energy, and blend. VANDERZEE has enjoyed touring success around the Midwest, including a few supporting slots for pop artist Ben Rector.

In May of 2015, VANDERZEE trekked out to East Nashville to record The Hopeful Bright at Yackland Studio. For this effort, they enlisted the help of multi-talented producer Stephen Leiweke. The Hopeful Bright captures the fresh interplay of Brett and Laura's voices, deftly joining strong melodies with honest lyrics.
